読み込みはRAID0の1.8GB/sに対して、RAID5でも最大約1.6GB/sと優秀なのですが、書き込みは最大でも300MB/sと残念なことに。
RAID0の時は512BQD32の書き込みが66kIOPSあったのに対して、RAID5の時は26kIOPSまで落ちたので、やはりパリティー計算が必要なRAIDのオーバーヘッドは大きいです。

RAID5の書き込みでは、920MB/sと、おそらくSSDが1台あたり300MB/s程度で限界に来ているので、SSDが原因で頭打ちになっていると思われます。

読み込みでは1M-QD32で約2.7GB/sとスケールしていますが、書き込みでは精々1.2GB/s程度でした。それぞれのディスクではSeqWが300MB/sは出ているので、パリティー分を引いて2.1GB/s位は出てくれると思ったのですが…。
まあ使っているモデルが128GBなので、数を増やしたところでSSDのそもそもの性能があまり良くないというのもありますが、これだけのために256GBや512GBのモデルを集めるのはさすがにつらいです。
まとめ
130に比べると、2コアSOCのおかげか書き込み時の落ち込みがだいぶマシになっています。しかし、ベースのSSDが微妙だと数を増やしたところで大してスケールしませんでした。
ちなみに、RAIDカード全般に言えることですが、このカードもかなりの熱を持ちます。実験中このような状態で検証していたのですが(雑い)、室温28度でも無風にすると40度からじわじわと温度が上がっていきました。
暑い真夏の夜、過熱したRAIDカードは、遂に危険な領域へと突入する…。
正しく熱放射率の設定をしてないので数値は目安ですが、80度に達したところで危険を感じたのでファンを戻しました。
それぐらいに熱くなるので、使う際にはそれなりのエアフローが必須です。
排熱には気をつけよう!
